Frankie and Stein started with a simple English assignment: write a children’s picture book, preferably Christmas-themed. I decided that I’d use the two little characters I’d been doodling lately and then ran with it. Santy Claws fell off the roof and onto his head, and Frankie and Stein were born. That original comic will probably never see the light of day (unless I should redraw it), so here’s Frankie and Stein: the story of a lonely li’l mad scientist who decided to make a friend.

Mmm, I don’t know… It’s all higgledy-piggledy and obviously drawn by a kid with lots of enthusiasm but no idea how to make a comic readable… I’m thinking of incorperating the elements worth saving into a future storyline instead!
